eBook "China In Space"

"China In Space" is the ebook dedicated to the Chinese Space Programs and their mission patches and belongs the series "Space Patches – A Journey Through the Cosmos"

This book presents the most comprehensive visual reference dedicated to Chinese space mission patches, covering both state-run and commercial launch activities. Mostly of the patches are from the launches performed by the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASC) with the Long March rocket family, which has formed the backbone of China’s orbital access since the early years of the national space program.

Alongside these historic and modern government missions, the book also documents the rapid rise of China’s private launch sector, reflecting the profound transformation of the country’s space ecosystem. Mission patches from commercial launch providers such as LandSpace, iSpace, ExPace, Orienspace, Space Pioneer, and the Smart Dragon program are included, highlighting their growing role in satellite deployment and orbital services.

Each chapter offers a structured overview of the missions associated with these programs, providing a clear chronological and technical framework that allows readers to understand how Chinese launch capabilities have expanded and diversified over time.

By bringing together patches from institutional and private operators, this volume illustrates the evolution from a centralized launch architecture to a diversified landscape characterized by solid- and liquid-propellant rockets, sea-based launches, and next-generation commercial vehicles.

The ebook includes patches starting with the Shenzhou launch of the 15th October 2003 until the latest rocket launches.
